Yong Soo Heong receives Hawana 2025 award for lifetime contribution to journalism

KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 — Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) President Datuk Yong Soo Heong was honoured with the Hawana 2025 Award in recognition of his lifelong contribution to journalism, at the National Journalists’ Day (Hawana) 2025 main celebration at the World Trade Centre today.

Media practitioners urged to exercise freedom of expression responsibly

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 — Media practitioners in Malaysia should exercise freedom of expression responsibly, without jeopardisng harmony or causing chaos in the country, said Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) president Datuk Yong Soo Heong.
